As we reported here it seems that a Xanadu remake is already in the infant stages of its development. As tacky as remaking a tacky movie might be, I am personally excited to see this title fail a second time! But, since money is already being spent, and decisions are already being made, here is who I would cast. You know, because I am that self important and I have nothing else to do at work on the last Friday of the month.

Personally, I want to see Kylie Minogue play Kira/Olivia Newton John’s part. The reasons are legion:

1. Like Olivia, she’s Australian. This isn’t really a reason but I feel like starting this piece off with some fluffy filler.
2. She sings like the dickens!
3. At the risk of sounding sexist, that bitch is so fucking hot she makes me want to be a good person.
4. I need a reason to post yet another picture of Kylie on the site.
5. B. Lo “would just die!”
6. Her sister has already covered the theme song. (SEE BELOW)

*Truth be told, it took me so long to figure out just which picture of Kylie to post that I forgot who else I wanted to cast in the movie.
